if i'm sitting on the couch in the living room, and it's really quiet, it's never completely silent. because i can still hear the barely audible, but shrill, high-frequency sound emitted from various electronic devices. and i know that sound waves can be used to harm people and i wonder if the electronics are slowly killing me. and then i think about the ubiquitous presence of electricity around me. because i don't like the idea of billions of atoms flying through my body constantly. |
